It has taken some time to launch itself in this booming and constantly evolving sector of activity: that of legal cannabis with a THC content of less than 1%.
Anxious to do things right and to respect all the regulations in force in a new and regulated market, BIOBAN decided to take the time to analyse the opening offered to this unexpected sector.
Our company was created on 26 April 2017, after studying all the ins and outs of this new activity.
Our priority was to find out who was interested in this type of product and for what purpose. One of the issues was to assimilate who would want to consume a legal cannabis with a low THC content, which is normally the priority of consumers.
After some personal research, we discovered the existence of a new substance in cannabis: Cannabidiol, better known as CBD. The studies speak for themselves: with a high CBD content and a low THC content, a real benefit comes from this product. This legal cannabis would be a real medicinal alternative and a concrete therapeutic solution.
It was therefore necessary to realise and admit that this cannabis now offered considerable opportunities both therapeutically and economically. Therefore, mastering all the elements and the context of this new market was the cornerstone of our company, as we did not want to encounter any particular constraints during the launch of our activity.
So, in the interest of itself and its partners, BIOBAN really wanted to take the time to analyse and understand this unexpected new field of legal cannabis activity, before positioning itself in a solid and serious way. The objective was to discern what was possible and feasible and what was not, in order to evolve in a constructive and sustainable way.
