Swiss CBD cannabis

Cannabidiol, more commonly known as CBD, is like its cousin THC, a cannabinoid naturally present in the cannabis plant. 

While THC has a psychoactive effect, CBD has a relaxing effect.

In Switzerland, CBD is often referred to as "legal cannabis" and comes in the form of flowers for smoking. 

However, there are a large number of products with other consumption methods, such as e-liquids, oils, edibles, teas and cosmetics.

According to Swiss legislation, Legal Cannabis products have varying levels of CBD but must not exceed 1% THC. These products do not have psychotropic effects.

In Switzerland CBD products must not exceed the threshold of 1% THC, unlike our European neighbors, for whom the threshold is generally set at 0.3% (0.5% for Italy). 

The products sold on Cannabis King, including flowers, and are intended for the Swiss market having THC content of <1%. Other products such as oils, e-liquids and edibles have a value between 0 and 1% THC.

We encourage you to check these levels when purchasing to ensure compliance with the laws in your respective country.

Cannabis plants produce over 400 different compounds, which can also be found in other plants. Among these are about 60 compounds that are unique to cannabis - the cannabinoids. 

The best known are THC, CBD and CBG.

Unlike THC, CBD is not psychoactive and will not get you "high". CBD will give you more of a feeling of well-being and relaxation.

Even if THC is legal in some countries, it remains prohibited in Switzerland when its rate exceeds 1%.

In principle, it is not legally forbidden to drive in Switzerland after having consumed CBD.

However, although the level of THC in our products is less than 1% and there is no psychoactive effect, it is possible that, depending on your consumption, traces of THC above the law are detected in your blood (limit of 1.5 micrograms per liter). If this is the case, you are considered unfit to drive and risk an offense.

We therefore advise our customers against driving after consuming CBD.

Legal cannabis is regulated as a product containing tobacco substitutes and thus follows the regulations set on tobacco products (OTab). 

You can consume it anywhere, in public places, where smoking is allowed.

However, we advise our customers to always keep the original package with them, in order to be able to present it during a possible control.
