The taste of FRED Roses has been developed on the basis of an American Blend, i.e. it uses 3 different varieties of tobacco: Virginia (also known as Flue Cured), Burley and Oriental.
Virginia tobacco comes mainly from the USA. These tobacco leaves have been dried in hot air. Their color is very light (gold and orange) and the aroma is best felt in the mouth.
Burley is a dark, chocolate-colored tobacco. It comes mainly from Europe and gives a salty, nutty taste in the throat. Oriental tobacco leaves are much smaller and very aromatic. They come from Greece and Turkey and are sun-cured. FRED cigarettes contain a higher proportion of Oriental tobacco than conventional cigarettes. Their aroma is very mild and smells perfectly on the nose.
