Charas is a special variant of hashish. Unlike the method used in the Arab world, which involves sifting dried flowers, it is obtained from the fresh plant. Hemp flowers are rubbed gently between the hands for a long time, until the cannabis resin adheres to the palm. Hemp flowers are used 2 to 3 weeks before they are ready to be harvested, when the THC content of the plant is at its highest, to harvest the sacred resin.

Unlike other extracts, no aids or chemicals are used in the manufacture of Charas. It's therefore an extremely gentle hashish production, but also a particularly long one. A single person can only produce a few grams a day, which naturally has an impact on the selling price.
